Compare the scope before the total

A quote for five simple pages is different from a site with booking, ecommerce or custom features. List the page types and customer tasks your site must support so proposals can be compared fairly.

Check who creates the content

Ask whether copywriting, photography, content migration and revisions are included. Supplying finished content reduces one type of work, while reorganizing unclear existing information can add substantial planning time.

Separate launch costs from ongoing costs

Ask about hosting, domain renewal, platform subscriptions, maintenance and future edits. Confirm which accounts your business will own and what happens if you change providers.

Ask about search and inquiry foundations

A quote should explain what happens to existing URLs, whether metadata and a sitemap are included, and how inquiries will reach your team. A visual redesign alone does not answer those questions.

Prepare a useful brief

Share your current site, main services, service area, desired customer action and any necessary integrations. Include a budget range if you have one. ThynkUnicorn prepares project-specific scopes rather than publishing an unverified universal price.

Put it into practice
